Paper Mache

Paper mache is proof that newspaper, paste, and a good idea can become almost anything. In Paper Mache, students design and build sculptures layer by layer — shaping forms, mixing paste, building up strength, and painting their finished pieces.

Week by week, projects grow from small creatures to bold masks and big builds — and along the way students learn how sculptors think about form, structure, surface, and color. Everyone leaves with sculptures they designed and made from scratch.

Paper Mache is part of Art Lab, our weekday after-school art series. Each day of the week is a different class. Enroll for a six-week session, or drop in any week for $30 — try one, come back for another, or stack all three.

The Art Lab Series

One studio, three classes a week

Art Lab runs Tuesday through Thursday afternoons, 3:30–5:00 PM. Each day is its own class. Enroll for a six-week session, or drop in any week for $30. Take one day or all three.

Printmaking

Design and carve printing blocks, mix ink, and pull original prints.

Art Journaling

Fill a journal of your own with drawing, painting, collage, and mixed media.
