Leadership

Who runs Newburgh Creates

Jason C. Otero
Co-Founder, Executive Director & Program Director

Jason founded Newburgh Creates with a belief that every young person deserves access to creative and technical education — regardless of cost. He leads the organization's strategy, fundraising, community relationships, and program development.

Sam Spillman
Co-Founder, Operations, Instructor Training & Site Support

Sam keeps Newburgh Creates running day-to-day — managing site logistics, supporting instructor onboarding and training, and ensuring every lab has what it needs to serve students well.

David Bosworth
Co-Founder & Operations

David keeps the organization running behind the scenes — managing facilities, vendor partnerships, and organizational systems so programs can focus on students.

Program Partners

Organizations that make our programs stronger

Newburgh Creates works with mission-aligned partners who bring specialized expertise into our labs and communities.

OpenHub Project
Program Partner · Hudson Valley Tech Education

OpenHub Project is a Hudson Valley technology resource center that designs curricula, runs coding workshops, and builds real-world tech skills through hands-on, project-based collaboration. Their mission — combining technology with entrepreneurship — aligns directly with Newburgh Creates' lab programs.
