Newburgh Creates is proud to offer private piano lessons with pianist and teacher Dave Long. Whether you’re a child picking up the piano for the first time or an adult realizing a lifelong dream, Dave brings patience, expertise, and a love of music to every session.
Dave studied music at Boston University and the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College. He studied piano for many years with acclaimed pianist and pedagogue Seymour Bernstein, along with other distinguished teachers including Raj Bhimani and Sam Yahel.
Dave teaches classical and jazz piano along with other styles like pop, rock, and blues — meeting each student wherever they are and helping them grow at their own pace.
Dave works with each student individually, tailoring lessons to their interests, skill level, and musical goals. Styles include:

Lessons are available in four lengths. Adult lessons require a minimum of 60 minutes (90 minutes recommended). For children, shorter 30- and 45-minute sessions are available if needed.
