A hands-on program for youth ages 7–12 in the Hudson Valley.
Junior Coding Lab is the entry point for students who are new to programming. Starting with block-based tools like Scratch and progressing into Python, students learn to think computationally — breaking problems into steps, writing logic, and seeing their code come alive on screen.
The focus is on creative expression as much as technical skill. Students build interactive stories, simple games, and animations — projects they're genuinely excited to show off. Every session is designed to be accessible to absolute beginners while offering enough depth to keep curious learners pushing further.
Curriculum guides, session plans, and program materials for Junior Coding Lab instructors and partner educators are available in the teacher portal.
