Homeschool ROBOLab

You handle the reading and math. We'll bring the robots. Homeschool ROBOLab is a weekly daytime program where homeschool students get real robotics — building with LEGO Education SPIKE Prime, coding their creations, and solving engineering challenges — in a working studio, with dedicated instructors and a consistent group of peers.

Sessions run Tuesday mornings while our robotics kits would otherwise sit idle — which means a small group gets real access, with two instructors in the room every session. Dave leads the robotics and engineering; Hanna keeps the design side sharp. Pair it with Homeschool BUILDLab on Thursdays for a full making-and-robotics week.

The group is multi-age by design, the way homeschool groups actually work. Siblings are welcome to enroll together, and projects scale up or down so a 7-year-old and a 13-year-old can work side by side — each challenged at their own level.

For Homeschool Families

How it works

Is this drop-off?

Yes — students stay with our instructors for the full two hours. Parents are welcome to stick around, especially for the first visits; we have a waiting area, and Liberty Street's coffee is a short walk away.

How is the group organized?

One multi-age group, capped at 10. Projects are designed to scale, so younger and older students work on the same challenge at different depths. Siblings can enroll together.

How do sessions and billing work?

The lab runs in six-week sessions on the same calendar as our after-school programs — enroll per session. Take Tuesday alone, or pair it with Homeschool BUILDLab on Thursdays.

Does this count toward our curriculum?

Many families count STEAM Lab hours toward art, technology, and science enrichment in their IHIP. We're happy to describe our program activities for your quarterly reports — just ask.
