A maker space and design program for homeschool students ages 7–14 — Thursday mornings, in our Liberty Street studio.
Create awesome projects with ink, cardboard, paint, electronics, 3D printing, LEGO, and hand tools. Homeschool BUILDLab is the daytime, homeschool edition of our flagship maker space program — students sketch, prototype, and build real 3D projects. Kids work with simple electronics and art supplies in a working studio, with dedicated instructors and peers.
Sessions run Thursday mornings while our studio would otherwise sit idle — which means a small group gets real access: building materials, printmaking tools, electronics, and professional-grade equipment, with two instructors in the room every session. Hanna leads art and design, and Dave leads the building.
The group is multi-age by design, the way homeschool groups actually work. Siblings are welcome to enroll together, and projects scale up or down so a 7-year-old and a 13-year-old can work side by side — each challenged at their own level.
