Design it, print it, improve it. A 3D printing workshop for homeschool students ages 7–14 — Friday mornings, in a real studio.
You handle the reading and math. We'll bring the printers. Homeschool 3D Print Lab is a weekly daytime workshop where homeschool students design their own objects on the computer, print them, and then figure out how to make them better. A part that doesn't fit, a design that snaps, a print that comes out wrong: all of it is part of the work.
Sessions run Friday mornings with Dave Long, who leads robotics and engineering at Newburgh Creates. Students start with simple designs and build toward larger projects, learning to measure, test, and revise along the way. Pair it with Homeschool BUILDLab on Thursdays for a full making week.
The group is multi-age by design, the way homeschool groups actually work. Siblings are welcome to enroll together, and projects scale up or down so a 7-year-old and a 13-year-old can work side by side, each challenged at their own level.

Dave Long leads every session.

Curriculum guides, session plans, and program materials for Homeschool 3D Print Lab instructors and partner educators are available in the teacher portal.
