Paper Mache

Paper mache is proof that newspaper, paste, and a good idea can become almost anything. In Paper Mache, students design and build sculptures layer by layer — shaping forms, mixing paste, building up strength, and painting their finished pieces.

Week by week, projects grow from small creatures to bold masks and big builds — and along the way students learn how sculptors think about form, structure, surface, and color. Everyone leaves with sculptures they designed and made from scratch.

Paper Mache runs through Oct 21 as part of Art Lab, our after-school art series. It is not offered in Session 2. See the Drop-In Art Class on Thursdays, and Sticker Club on Tuesdays starting Oct 27.

The Art Lab Series

One studio, two classes a week

Art Lab runs Thursday afternoons, 4:30–6:00 PM, and Tuesday afternoons starting Oct 27. Each day is its own class. Enroll in a session, or drop in any week. Drop-ins are $35 starting Oct 26.
